Abstract Expressionism #1

This is my first time back in Art class in a long time and I got to come back to a project I really enjoy. I originally envisioned doing a pastel pallet for my Abstract Expressionism piece with lots of drips. However once I was in front of my canvas none of those colors spoke to me so I decided on a darker theme. I poured dark green house paint on to my canvas and then wiped it of allowing the streaky nature to develop. I then added this base of the soft gel medium with black and applied those to the darker areas of green
